From 25 May to 4 July 1962, the museum held the main exhibition, Hong Kong Art Today. It was vital as the primary exhibition with Hong Kong art as its theme. The exhibition additionally mirrored how naturalism in art had become Museum of Art passé and that abstract art was favoured at that moment in time. This group of conservators, curators, and technical professionals grapples with the acquisition and exhibition of time-based media art at The Met.
At the Art & History Museum, you may cross the continents from prehistory to the 20th century. Prehistoric flints, Egyptian mummies and different historic artifacts, spectacular medieval tapestries, Buddhas, a collection of Belgian Art Nouveau… The surrounding park also offers you the chance to benefit from the outside, and even to go to two more museums —Autoworldand theRoyal Museum of the Armed Forces and Military History- should you fancy it. A wonderful green setting in a particularly dense and urbanised area, the Leopold Park is house to some prestigious buildings – the Eggevoord Tower, Solvay Library and the former Georges Eastman Dental Institute, which now homes theHouse of European History.
